In the official blog post, Blizzard introduces all the new content you can expect with the start of Arena Season 1. Here you can find out how to sign up for the arena, what the special rewards are, and what the prerequisites are. If you are successful at the end of the season, you will secure one of the five Arena titles.
For BC Classic, they've held on to the special Gladiator titles. Only a handful of players will be able to call themselves Infernal Gladiators at the end of the season. We're excited to see which old PvP legends will step up and how the metagame might change from what it was back then. Just like the Gladiators, Infernal Gladiators secure a very fast Nether Dragon mount.

WoW BC Classic Arena Season 1 Overview
Entering the Arena
Once your team of two, three, or five players is ready, you can sign up for the arenas with the Arena Battle Master. All Arena teams start with a team score of 0 and must fight their way up through the ranks. Communication and coordination are the keys to victory!
In Season 1, you will not be able to purchase some PvP items until your personal rating meets the requirements and you have the necessary Arena Points. Once you have purchased an item, you will be able to put it on even if your personal rating falls below the required level. The rating requirements are as follows:
- Personal rating of 2,000 for shoulder pieces
- Personal rating of 1,850 for weapons
Arena Points - the currency used to purchase arena equipment - will be awarded to you after the weekly server restart based on the team that earned the most points. To qualify for Arena Points, your personal rating must be no more than 150 points below or above your team's rating. You must also have completed at least 10 games and participated in at least 30% of your team's games the previous week.
Once you have earned Arena Points, various merchants will offer you their goods. You can find them by heading to the Ring of Testing in Nagrand, the Circle of Blood in Shear Ridge, or Area 52
At the end of each season, players who meet the requirements will receive rewards based on their rating. In Season 1, you can earn the unique title of Infernal Gladiator. Players at the top of their region's rankings will receive the following seasonal rewards:
- Infernal Gladiator (Top 0.1 %)
- Gladiator (Top 0.5%)
- Duelist (Top 0.5 % - 3 %)
- Rival (Top 3 % - 10 %)
- Challenger (Top 10 % - 35 %)
Players who earn either the Infernal Gladiator or Gladiator title will also receive the Swift Nether Dragon - an extremely fast flying mount that is only available in Season 1.
To qualify for seasonal rewards, your personal Arena rating must be no more than 100 points below or above your team's rating, and you must have participated in at least 20% of your team's matches.
You must also have won at least 50 games to earn seasonal rewards. Once a season ends and a new one begins, Arena gear from the previous season can be purchased without scoring requirements.Support buffed - it only takes a minute. Thanks!
